As expensive as these darn things are bound to be and as happy as I am with my 1D3's, I can't see myself going for these for a while.

European pricing around €4800...

The camera feels the same as the mkIII but has slight ergonomic improvements: buttons feel better! Apart from the video, it's fast and feels like home if you're used to a 1D/1Ds.

I would expect most from low light capabilities (see Laforet's Nocturne on Youtube) and noise control, autofocus etc...

It way outclasses the 7D should you be in doubt ;-)

Seems to be a very promising one with nice features. Hope it proves its strength in the field.

Looks interesting, but I'll bet the majority will be waiting for the 1ds MkiV for the higher pixel count.

I shoot sports almost everday and I have to tell you that Nikon with D700 and d3 are the best camera to sport this days. I´m a Canon Guy, and I hope the Mark IV came and change that!!

English translation:
Canon had to... They lost a lot of terrain with journalists and sports photographer who transferred massively to Nikon. Lets hope the IV will be issie free and they can make a big quality difference again..

If you google around and check comparison tests. the canon still has better accuracy than Nikon. So even if there are a lot of problems with the mark III, it still kicks nikons ass (as long as you dont have real issues and done al canons fixes)

My only two questions about this baby are how much it will gone cost in Europe and if finally Canon manage to solve the AF focus problems and produce a camera as Nikon have with the D3 and D700.
